To determine whether an applicant has any prior criminal convictions in Canada a national search will be conducted with an accredited Canadian Police Service provider. The results will indicate whether the applicant has a "Clear/Negative" or "Unclear/Incomplete" Criminal Record. The Premium Criminal Background search also includes flags (if relevant) on information that is outside of Canadian Criminal Convictions. Details from the search are not released. Applicants who have been flagged by the Premium Criminal Search are recommended to obtain a more detailed criminal record check from their local police service or submit fingerprints.

A Declaration of Criminal Record is an additional service to the Name Based Criminal Record Check. It allows for applicants a platform to declare criminal convictions. This check will indicate a "Unclear - Confirmation of Criminal Record" or advise the declaration is "Unclear - Incomplete".

A Police Certificate is an electronic or paper certificate indicating the results of the Name Based Criminal Record Check.

A SIN Validation search confirms that an SIN number is valid in Canada. Please note, this search does no verify that the applicant is the registered owner of the SIN number.

An ID Verification is able to confirm an applicant’s name, date of birth, address and SIN number based on a cross-check with a National Credit-Reporting Agency.

A Credit Reliability Inquiry is performed via a database search with a National Credit-Reporting Agency. The information provided indicates an Applicant’s reliability based on current and historical financial profiles.

A Canadian Bankruptcy is conducted through Industry Canada’s Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. This search provided bankruptcy history information, if a file is located.

Reference Reports provide business and personal details on an applicant’s attendance & punctuality, job description & responsibilities, performance, and interpersonal skills.

Education and Professional accreditation Verifications can confirm completed Education certifications, professional Association membership and professional designations.
Employment Verifications can confirm an applicant’s previous or current employer with confirmation of the company name, dates of employment, and position held.

Driver License Verifications (DLV) is a national search assisting employers in determining the validity, status and class of licenses. We only require the corresponding consent form to complete this search. Note: This service is not available in Newfoundland.

Canadian Driver abstract searches are conducted through Motor Vehicle Registries in each province. The abstract contains the applicant’s driving history including information on license suspension (Current and Past), demerit points and outstanding fines or warrants. Please note, this service is not available is Alberta.

A Due Diligence search is suggested when hiring Executive, Board Members or high ranking officials of an organization. Due diligence searches can include Provincial Civil Court or Federal Civil Court Searches and Media Searches.
